Social Entrepreneurship Spotlight at the 3P Event
On 26 November 2025, Impact Hub Ljubljana hosted the event 3P: Ready for the Entrepreneurial Journey?, organised by the Career Centres of the University of Ljubljana and the University’s Knowledge Transfer Office.. The gathering explored the field of social impact entrepreneurship and highlighted how young innovators can contribute to sustainable change in society.

The event opened with a keynote by Prof Alenka Slavec Gomezel, PhD, from the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana. She outlined the key differences between commercial, impact, social and non-profit business models, emphasising that genuine social impact stems from clear motivation and a responsible entrepreneurial purpose.
This was followed by a presentation from Jan Peloza, Director of Impact Hub Slovenia, who shared current trends in the impact entrepreneurship landscape. He noted that many impact start-ups tend to be more stable in their early stages than traditional tech start-ups, which underscores the growing potential of this emerging ecosystem.
The core part of the event featured a panel discussionwith representatives from organisations and companies with longstanding experience in socially responsible entrepreneurship. A representative of Simbioza Genesis discussed the importance of intergenerational cooperation and digital literacy for older adults. A representative of the Buna cooperative and 3MUHE store shared practical insights into the challenges and opportunities of fair trade. The director of ScAIentist d.o.o. explained how digital solutions can drive responsible, transparent and data-supported business practices across different sectors.
Participants also received an overview of support programmes and entry points available for developing entrepreneurial ideas. Special attention was given to the Impact Launchpad, Impact Hub Slovenia’s programme that helps entrepreneurs validate their solutions, test them with users and build a compelling business and impact framework. Applications are open until 8 December , offering an excellent opportunity to accelerate the development of your entrepreneurial idea with the support of experienced mentors and experts.
The event wrapped up with informal networking, giving participants the chance to share experiences, connect with one another and spark new ideas for future collaboration. At Impact Hub Ljubljana, we will continue to support such initiatives and work with our partners to build an environment where entrepreneurial solutions with clear, meaningful and lasting social impact can grow and thrive.
